Easy Ways to YouTube from Keyboard Controls

When watching videos on YouTube, we need a mouse to control the video. But in fact we can use the keyboard to do so.

Here are some shortcuts on the keyboard to control YouTube on the desktop. These shortcuts can be used on Windows, Mac or Linux. Both use the Chrome browser, Firefox and Microsoft Edge.

Press the L button to advance 10 seconds.
Press J to rewind 10 seconds
Press K or Spacebar to pause and play video
Press M for Mute
Press the left arrow button to rewind 5 seconds
Press recom- right to advance 5 seconds
Press the up arrow key to increase the volume
Press the down arrow key to decrease the volume

Press the number keys 1-9 to advance to 10-90%
Press the Home button to return to the beginning of the video
Press End to end to video
Press F to open the full screen mode
Press Esc to exit full screen
